How to shut down a locked laptop?

If a laptop has been locked down via Mobile Device Management (MDM), it may still be turned on. It is always advised to turn off a device before shipping it.

To fully shut down a laptop that has been locked down via MDM, you should hold down the power button until it completely shuts down. That will take 10-15 seconds.

Be careful NOT to let go of the power button if the screen flashes or the computer restarts after 3-5 seconds. Keep holding down the button until the laptop completely powers off, which will take 10-15 seconds.
