Add carrier requirements

For any shipment, you can instruct us to use a specific carrier like FedEx or UPS.

Which carriers can be required?

You can choose any of these premium carriers as the required carrier for a shipment:

If you want us to add another premium carrier, please contact us.

Why set a carrier requirement?

There are a variety of reasons you might want to set a carrier requirement on a shipment:

How much does a carrier requirement cost?

The cost of a carrier requirement depends whether it is an outbound shipment (empty box) or a return shipment (full box), and whether it is domestic or international. This additional fee helps us cover the added cost of using a more expensive carrier.

Outbound Return
Domestic + $20 + $10
International + $90 + $30

Outbound is more expensive than return because it's an upgrade from a standard carrier to a premium carrier. (Return shipments are always through a premium carrier.)

How to set a carrier requirement?

To set a carrier requirement on a case-by-case basis, simply select a carrier on the "Carrier requirement" step of the laptop return ordering process.

To set a preference that will prepopulate your carrier requirement on every laptop return:

  1. Log in to your ReReady account (or open a free account).
  2. Click the "Settings" button at the top.
  3. Click the "Company settings" button at the top.
  4. Select a "Default carrier required for outbound (optional)" or "Default carrier required for return (optional)" and update.
