Why hasn't USPS scanned the box yet?
Sometimes when ReReady ships a box via USPS, there is a long delay before USPS marks the box as “in transit”. Unfortunately that is normal behavior for USPS.
USPS sometimes takes up to 5 days to scan a shipment for the first time. That first scan is what causes the shipment to be marked as “in transit”. This first scan is often when the shipment is nearing delivery, or being delivered.
In rare cases USPS will fail to scan a shipment at all, even upon delivery. In that case the shipment looks like it was not even received by USPS when it was actually successfully delivered.
If you are dissatisfied with USPS service, we strongly recommend you select a premium carrier for your box shipments. While a premium carrier is more expensive, it can be relied upon to scan shipments more promptly and regularly.
